Features

PVC pipes have many advantages when compared to pipes that are made up of traditional materials. They are made up of low carbon plastic, PVC piped need fewer resources and lesser energy to manufacture. They can be transported easily due to their low weight and good flexibility. They are also easy to maintain and can also be recycled easily.

PVC pipes can mainly be categorized into four different types. They are:

  • PVC-U
  • These are unplastered pipes and are also known as Rigid pipes. PVC-U pipes are the most used ones and are primarily used for transportation of drinking water, soil and waste, and sewage and underground drainage.
  • C-PVC

C-PVCs are nothing but chlorinated PVCs. They are almost similar to UPVCs in terms of their usage and applications. C-PVCs can take a higher standard of temperature because they contain a higher chlorine level compared to U-PVCs.

  • O-PVC

PVC pipes that are molecularly oriented are called O-PVCs. The best part about O-PVC is that they increase the qualities of U-PVC. They are more resistant to corrosion and higher temperatures.

  • PVC-HI

PVC-HI is basically High Impact PVC pipes.
